UPDATES: The Abia State Government has ordered mechanics and auto spare parts dealers in Aba to relocate to the Ovom Industrial Mechanic Cluster in Ogbor Hill by October 15, 2025.

Military promises elections within two years

We will form a government and reach consensus," Col Michael Randrianirina has told reporters in Madagascar after announcing that his elite unit, CAPSAT, had seized power.

Nigeria’s Judiciary Has Become a Theatre of Deceit: Justice Omotosho’s Ruling Is a Travesty of Law and Medical Ethics

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) condemns in the strongest possible terms the judicial absurdity that played out today before Justice Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Abuja, in the ongoing persecution of our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. What transpired today was not justice but a shameful display of executive manipulation dressed up as judicial reasoning.

Justice Omotosho, in a ruling that will go down as one of the darkest moments in Nigeria’s judicial history, relied on a phantom “medical report” allegedly from the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) to declare Mazi Nnamdi Kanu “fit to stand trial.” Let it be made abundantly clear to the world: the NMA never examined Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

The so-called report was not a medical document but a political script concocted by the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), who arrogated to himself the powers of a court and the duties of a physician.

These Are The Facts They Can’t Hide:

Confidentiality Breach:
The AGF has no legal or ethical authority to receive or interpret Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s medical report. Such a report is strictly between the patient and the examining medical body. By hijacking the report, the AGF has violated doctor–patient confidentiality and committed a criminal breach of trust.

Mazi Kanu Never Examined:
From the day Justice Omotosho issued his order on September 26, 2025, the NMA has never examined Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. There was no physical examination, no laboratory analysis, no blood or urine samples collected. Any document being paraded as a “medical report” is therefore a fraud and a forgery.

Court Misled by AGF:
The NMA failed to tender any report before the court on the date of the order. Instead, they handed a piece of paper to the AGF, who in turn “interpreted” it for the judge. This is an insult to judicial integrity and a clear indication that the AGF, not the court, is dictating outcomes.

Mazi Kanu Saw His “Report” for the First Time in Court:
How can a man’s health status be debated and ruled upon when he was never given access to his own medical report until this morning? What Justice Omotosho did today is judicial ambush, pure and simple.

A Judiciary That Shames the Devil:

The Nigerian judiciary has reached the point where truth is an inconvenience, and justice is an illusion. The devil himself would blush at the scale of deceit that played out in that courtroom. The court ignored glaring contradictions, discarded its own order, and leaned entirely on the AGF’s political narrative.

This is not justice — it is state-sponsored fraud. The same system that kidnapped Mazi Kanu from Kenya in violation of international law is now fabricating medical reports to justify continued detention. The same government that defied multiple court orders for his release is now scripting medical lies to prolong his suffering.

We demand that:

The Nigerian Medical Association immediately clarify its role and distance itself from this forged report;
The Federal High Court reject the AGF’s fraudulent document and compel a genuine, independent medical examination by an internationally recognized neutral team;
The international community take note that Nigeria’s judiciary has become an appendage of the executive, willing to twist facts, law, and ethics to sustain political persecution.
Today’s ruling is another nail in the coffin of judicial integrity in Nigeria. A country founded on deceit and steeped in hypocrisy cannot survive on lies forever. History will remember this moment — that when truth was strangled in the courtroom, it was the voice of the oppressed that refused to die.
