Woman Cries Out After Wike Demolishes Her Restaurant In Abuja
A heartbreaking video has surfaced online showing a woman in tears as she laments the demolition of her restaurant business allegedly ordered by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.
The woman, who could barely hold back her emotions, narrated how her source of livelihood was destroyed overnight during the ongoing demolition exercise in parts of Abuja. According to her, she invested all her savings into the business, only to watch it reduced to rubble.
The viral video has sparked outrage on social media, with many Nigerians questioning the human impact of Wike’s demolition policy and calling for a more humane approach to urban renewal in the capital city.

In a sharp critique of President Bola Tinubu’s recent presidential pardon list, lawyer Inibehe Effiong møcked the decision, questioning the moral and legal implications of the move.

The statements were made on Monday in an interview with Channels News.

“The decision of Mr. President to grant pardon to some of these individuals, I think, raises a lot of moral and legal questions about the message that we are sending to Nigerians and to law enforcement agencies in this country.

“For instance, what now becomes of the years of work and effort that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency [NDLEA] has put into the arrest and pros£cution of these individuals?

“What message does that send to other dяμg tя@ffickers who are undeяmining the security of this country?”

Effiong further questioned the selectiveness of the pardon, saying, “How come Evans, the notorious billionaire k¡dn@pper, has not been pardoned?

If the President is now becoming the savior of hardened cя¡minals, then he should go the whole way and open the prison gates of Kirikiri.”

He did not mince words about the overall legitimacy of the pardon list, adding, “I do not think some of these pardons were warranted.

“They should open the prison gate and allow all the Ͼя¡minals to go.”
