So earlier this morning, around 5 a.m., I went all the way to New Gariki to buy tiger nuts for my pigs ,they really love them.

While I was there waiting for my order to be packaged, I saw something that honestly shocked me .

They were washing the tiger nuts with their legs! Like, literally stepping on them to wash ,not even dirty legs o, but still… human legs!

At first, I thought maybe I was seeing wrong, but no that’s actually how they process the same tiger nuts most of us buy by the roadside and start chewing immediately without even washing.

I just stood there thinking, “So this is what people eat like that?”

Please, my people, if you buy tiger nuts, abeg wash them very well before eating. Add water, add salt ,just make sure they’re clean. What I saw today was really disheartening.

It’s not to spoil anyone’s hustle, but we need to be careful with what we consume out there.
