Nnamdi Kanu just turned the courtr00m into a battlef!eld.

After firing all his lawyers, the IPOB leader stood up today to defend himself, and what followed left everyone stunned.

“I’m defending myself because my lawyers are too afraid to mention names. I will say it live here in court! When I’m done with Nigeria, then I can di*e in peace.” — Nnamdi Kanu

Four years in detention, yet Ohamadike hasn’t bowed.

His voice was sharp, fearless, and unfiltered. He called out names, challenged power, and vowed to expose truths “that will shake the nation to its core.”

Even Lagos monarch Oba Rilwan Akiolu has warned the Federal Government of what might follow.

This isn’t just a trial anymore,
it’s a showdown between truth and power, courage and fear.

You need to listen to him speak and you will be convinced that he has not been subdued.

    In 1993, Abacha arrested Sowore.
In 1998, the Abdulsalami government arrested Sowore at the National University Games Association (NUGA) events in Lagos.
In 2006, Obasanjo and El-Rufai sued Sowore for interviewing Gbenga Obasanjo and exposing the third term agenda.
In 2007, the late Umaru Yar'Adua banned Sahara Reporters in Nigeria.
In 2014, Goodluck Jonathan's associate, Reno Omokri, attempted to file a lawsuit in the U.S. to bankrupt Sahara Reporters, but he could not proceed after receiving a threatening letter, as Jonathan lost the election in 2015.
In 2017, then Senate President Bukola Saraki sued Sowore, obtained a questionable judgment from the Kwara State High Court, and froze Sahara Reporters' accounts for a year.
In 2019, Buhari arrested Sowore and charged him with treason.
In 2023, Tinubu placed Sowore on the immigration watchlist.
In 2025, the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, arrested Sowore for cybercrime and seized his international passport.

Whether you like him or dislike him, Sowore is a significant force to reckon with. Apart from Fela Kuti, no Nigerian has endured so much at the hands of the government for standing up for what is right as Sowore."

  • Breaking News: “I Am Defending Myself Because My Lawyers Are Too Afraid to Mention Names, I Will Say It Live Here in the Courtroom!” “When I’m Done With Nigeria, Then I Can Die in Peace” — Nnamdi Kanu Declares, — Turns Court Into a Battlefield, Vows to Expose Hidden Truths That Will Shake the Nation to Its Core

Lagos state Traditional ruler "Oba Rilwan Akiolu" warns Federal government of the danger ahead

Nnamdi Kanu defending himself in court is the boldest and riskiest move Nigeria has ever witnessed since its creation. Have you ever heard that man speak on the radio before? He calls names that most lawyers are too afraid to mention and blasts everything without fear or filter. Now that he’s standing alone in court, it’s a storm waiting to happen — because he’s not a lawyer, you can’t hold him back with legal boundaries. Nnamdi Kanu keeps outplaying Nigeria, step by step.

“Kanu defending himself is deeper than people think,” said a source close to the case. “His lawyers didn’t just step aside — there’s serious tension about what might be revealed in court. He wants to speak for himself, mention names like Wike, Sanwo-Olu, and Buratai, and uncover hidden truths that could shake the foundation of the nation. It’s dangerous, but it shows he’s done with being filtered. He wants the truth raw, straight, and loud.”

Observers say this case has gone beyond legal arguments — it’s now a battle of truth versus power, courage versus fear.

“When I’m done with Nigeria in this court case, then I can die in peace,” Kanu reportedly said, sending shockwaves through both his supporters and his enemies.

  • In this new phase of my career, these are the celebrations I value.

Africa is moving… and we’re driving the change.
Proud to celebrate this major milestone with my partners and family at @SpiroAfrica — $100 million raised and now officially on the road to a $1 billion valuation!

When I joined the movement and became a stakeholder in Spiro, I knew it was bigger than bikes. It’s about innovation, clean energy, and building opportunities that move Africa forward.

This stage of my journey is about growth — learning, structuring, and building with intention. I’m grateful to be part of projects that create real impact and prove that African talent and business can stand strong on the global stage.

But at the heart of it all, this whole business is for the hustlers — the okada drivers, the delivery riders, and everyone grinding in the real on-ground economy. They are the heartbeat of this movement.

From Lagos to Kigali, from Cotonou to Nairobi, we’re shaping a future that’s sustainable, profitable, and proudly African.

Can’t wait until you see our product roll-out this December.
Congrats my brother @real_gagan_gupta— we keep pushing the continent forward. Thank you at FEDA and Afriexim.

Hours after a protest demanding his release, detained leader of the outlawed IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, made a dramatic turn on Tuesday, declaring readiness to open his defence in the ongoing terrorism trial at the Federal High Court, Abuja.

The protest, which was led in parts of Abuja by the presidential candidate of the AAC in the 2023 elections, Omoyele Sowore, recorded low turnout across the country as residents largely shunned the call for mass action.

In a fresh motion he personally filed on Tuesday, October 21, Kanu assured the court that he was prepared to begin his defence "pursuant to the order of this honourable court made on the 16th day of October 2015, directing the defendant to commence his defence on the 24th day of October 2025."

Kanu informed the court, presided by Justice James Omotosho, of his plan to call a total of 23 witnesses divided into two categories. The first category, he said, would be those he called "ordinary but material witnesses". He further informed the court that his second category of witnesses would be "vital and compellable" and shall be "summoned under Section 232 of the Evidence Act, 2011."

In the notice Kanu personally signed, suggesting that he may have fired his team of lawyers led by Kanu Agabi, SAN, the IPOB leader told the court that, in view of the number of witnesses he intends to call, the court should consider granting a 90-day timeframe to enable him conclude his defence.

He told the court that he would "testify on his own behalf, providing a sworn account of the facts, denying the allegations, and explaining the political context of his statements and actions." Among those Kanu listed as "compellable witnesses" are a former Minister of Defence, Gen. Theophilus Danjuma (rtd), a former Chief of Army Staff, Gen Tukur Buratai (rtd), as well as Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Hope Uzodinma, Governors of Lagos and Imo States respectively.

He further listed current Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, his Works' counterpart, Dave Umahi, and the immediate past governor of Abia State,Okezie Ikpeazu. He also listed the immediate past Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, the immediate past DG of the National Intelligence Agency, NIA, Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, his then-collegue at the SSS, Yusuf Magaji Bichi, and several withnesses whose identities he didn't reveal. Kanu, in the notice, promised to "provide the sworn statements of all voluntary witnesses to this honourable court, and to notify the prosecution within a reasonable time."

He assured that "no precious time of the honourable court would be delayed," stressing, "and it would interest the honourable court that and the general public that justice is not only done but manifestly seen to have been done."

Kanu's motion offering to open his defence came on the same day a magistrate court in Abuja ordered the remand of his special counsel, Aloy Ejimakor and 12 others who were among those protesting against Kanu's continued trial.

  • Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has splashed millions on a brand-new 2025 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon for his wife, Chioma.

The 2025 model, which only recently debuted on the global market, is listed in the U.S. from around $150,000, though Nigerian auto experts note the price could climb significantly higher once import duties, customisations, and market demand are factored in.

Davido shared clips on Instagram on Wednesday, showing the moment he picked up the car. He explained that he had to trade in an older model and add extra cash to secure the newest release. “We had to give them the one I bought before and balance it up for this new one,” he said, before proudly declaring, “Only the best for my lady — 2025 things!”

Chioma beamed with excitement as she received the keys, while Davido hyped her up in his usual playful style.

The gesture adds to the couple’s long list of headline-making moments. Just last month, they wrapped up their much-talked-about wedding celebrations with a star-studded white wedding in Miami, reportedly costing about $3.7 million. This followed their court wedding in March 2023 and a traditional ceremony in Lagos in June 2024.

With this latest gift, Davido has once again reminded fans why he is not just a hitmaker on stage but also a lover who spares no expense when it comes to Chioma.

  • Lady Shares How A Nigerian Hospital Wrongly Diagnosed Her With Stage 3 Cancer

A Nigerian lady has accused a reputable hospital of wrongly diagnosing her with stage 3 cancer and subjecting her to unnecessary chemotherapy. She claimed the hospital used students for treatment and that she almost died before returning to Lagos, which she said saved her life. The ordeal left her with a burnt scalp and emotional trauma. She has since filed a lawsuit against the hospital, rejecting their plea for an out-of-court settlement, and vows to expose them publicly as she seeks justice. She claimed that the hospital was using students to handle patients, and that she was given chemotherapy despite not actually having cancer. She recounted how she almost lost her life during the treatment, saying what saved her was returning to Lagos for further medical checks. “They’re killing people there!” she exclaimed in frustration.

In her words, she said, “It’s crazy that a doctor would do this to me. They damaged me… they finished me.”

Pointing to her shaved head, she added, “Look at my scalp; it’s even burnt already. So this is what a Nigerian hospital can do to you.”

She further explained that although the hospital has been pleading for an out-of-court settlement, she has refused, insisting that she will wait for the court hearing. She also called on her followers to help her tag VDM, saying she will soon call out the hospital by name and expose everything publicly.
