Governor Alex Otti has reportedly issued a powerful message to President Tinubu, insisting that identity is non-negotiable.

“I was Biafran before I was Nigerian. I am Igbo before Biafra or Nigeria. No one can rewrite or delete who we are,” he was quoted as saying, a remark now stirring intense reactions nationwide.

Otti stressed that Biafra represents more than emotion—it is a people, a legacy, and a destiny.

    According to him:
“President Tinubu and every Nigerian must recognise this reality: Biafra is in our veins. You cannot demand that a people discard what defines them.”

On the issue of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s prolonged detention, the governor reportedly stated that releasing him would send shockwaves across the country.

    In his words:
“The moment Nnamdi Kanu steps out of detention, Nigeria will feel the full heartbeat of the Igbo nation.” #FreeNnamdiKanu

  • The Ancient Ìgbò in their communion with the Supreme Being, had a ritual which was the final and absolute plea to Chukwu Okike, to turn things around in their favor.

This ritual was called Ịsalu Enu Aka, according to Professor Anenechukwu Umeh. It literally means "to raise and show one's hand (palms) towards the sky (Enu/Igwe). But spiritually, it is the highest Aja (sacrifice) a man/woman can offer to Okike - an offering of one's soul to be weighed against one's life as recorded by mother nature (Okike).

For me, It was a ritual that required no words or incantations. All it required was for a man/woman to raise and show their palms with courage and sincerity of heart.

This Ịsalu Enu Aka was the Ìgbò way of presenting one's self to judgment to Chukwu Okike (Olisa Ebili Uwa, Obasi dị n'enu, the creator/creation/nature).

It was a silent prayer, but was most powerful; as your deeds (good and bad) are read by your Chi, Agwụ, Ndị Ịchie, and Ora mmụọ, and presented to Ala, which then scores your present life's deeds, and passes you to the summation of Chukwu Okike to be blessed with your heart desires, or to be kept in line till you are deserving of what you ask of Okike.

Ịsalu Enu Aka is one ritual in which only the upright amongst us can dare to partake in, for no man who soils his hands and offends Okike can raise his hands to Enu to seek immediate judgment and answers to one's petitions.

This aspect of Ìgbò spirituality, although it is hardly taught, points to the validity and importance of Nsọ (Holiness and uprightness) in Ìgbò Odinala na Omenala. For indeed it is only a man who has kept the four arms of Nsọ and is without blemish (or sin) that can raise his palms to Enu (Anyanwụ na Igwe) to be judged and to be helped instantly.

So Ụmụ nnem, as we journey back to our Ìgbò roots and the very spirituality that made our ancestors sages, let us do our best to keep Nsọ Ala, and be upright in our dealings with others. So that one day when we will need the urgent intervention of Okike in our lives Or when we die and are ready to join Ndị ịchie, we will be confident enough to raise our palms without our Chi first judging us, and condemning us.

And now, to why I used this image for my little piece on Ịsalu Enu Aka.

This deeply mystical art by our gifted sister Chiagoziem Nneamaka Orji caught my attention, and in a matter of seconds my mind was thrown back to this divine ritual of Ịsalu Enu Aka, as was mentioned by Professor Anenechukwu Umeh in his book "After God Is Dibia." Smiles filled the face of munwa bụ Chuka Nduneseokwu, and a deep feeling of joy gripped me because in a split second Agwụ connected the dots between what had been revealed to her in this art, what Professor Umeh wrote about the ancient Ìgbò Ịsalu Enu Aka many years ago, and the interpretations of his description of the ritual revealed to me in my quiet times, lost in thoughts of what Okike was to us Ndị Ìgbò.

Today, I Chuka Nduneseokwu make bold to say that Agwụ is interconnected and unending in revelation. All of us are tapping from the same source of infinite wisdom and intelligence. Only if we pay attention to the universe around us, we will find the answers we seek in the dreams, trances, songs, art, poems, writings, prophecies, and intuitions of others - man, animals, and trees,. Plants, and celestial bodies alike.

Dear Onye Agwụ, may you always find your path, and identify the dots that are being connected for you through the gifts of others.

Dear Onye Ìgbò, may you keep Nsọ, so that you will be among those who can raise their palms in utmost supplication to Okike, even while in this mortal reality - as Onye Uwaa.

  • The Relationship Between CHI (Spirit) and CHI (Daylight) In Odinala Igbo, Pinpointing The Realm Of CHI in Igbo Cosmology:

The ancient Igbo, in their wisdom and understanding of creation, had the same name for our Spirit, Life-force, Destiny (CHI) and the daylight (CHI), which accompanies the rising of the sun (Anya anwu/Anyanwu). And so also in the practice of Odinala which they handed down to us, Ndi gboo designated the sun as the dwelling place and ultimate source of the CHI (light/life-force/spirit/essence).

They believe that the sun is the medium through which our individual CHI enters our world, to take on anu aru (bodies/cloths). We see this in the ritual of installing (Idotu Chi) the physical representation of a man's chi (Okpensi CHI).

When a man comes of age in many parts of Igbo land, he is expected to physically invite his CHI into his home by setting up an altar/shrine dedicated to the complete communication with his CHI.

He will invite a Dibia to perform the ritual of Idotu Chi, which is bringing down the CHI from the face of the sun, at daybreak.

The CHI is invoked into the Okensi CHI and will remain in the man's compound until the day of his death, when the shrine must be destroyed.

The implication of the above ritual simply means that our individual CHI resides with the sun, the bringer of daylight, or, in other meaning, the CHI passes through it to visit our world (Uwa).

And this completely aligns with the Igbo understanding that CHIUKWU OKIKE (the Supreme Spirit) is in close communion with the sun (Anyanwu) – and expresses itself chiefly through the sun, Anyanwu.

By the foregoing, it then simply establishes the fact that the dwelling place of the CHI is not Ala Mmuo (spirit realm of dead people), as has been erroneously taught by those who try to marry Odinala and Christianity.

It is important to note that there are two spiritual realms in Igbo cosmology: "Ala mmuo" being a dwelling place of the spirits of dead people, while "Be mmuo" is the home of CHIUKWU OKIKE, CHI, and all other Alusi that carry out the work of the Supreme Spirit (Chi Ukwu, Chi na Eke, Olisa Ebili Uwa).

It is important that in our definition of the realm and source of the CHI, that we do not carelessly relegate the CHI to the land of the spirit of the dead.

This is because they are two distinct realms, like I have mentioned above. Ndi Igbo, in their understanding of life and the afterlife, look forward to the next world (after we die) as a spirit realm which is as much the same as the physical world.

The ground, forests, hills, valleys, rivers, streams, oceans, and roads leading to various towns are just like we have here in this reality. Dead ancestors, who now inhabit the spirit world (Ala/Ana/Ani mmuo) have their usual occupations, just like when they were in the world of the living.

It is from this Ala mmuo that dead ancestors come to our realm, in an ever-continuous cycle of life, death and reincarnation. This abode of ancestral spirit is different from the dwelling place of the CHI, which according to Ndi Gboo is the sun (Anyanwu).

  • Breaking News: Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe has issued a stern warning to those attempting to impose Islam or Sharia law on Igbo people, reminding the nation that such efforts are a direct call for civil war.

In his words, “Igbo people want nothing more than to live, prosper, and enjoy their lives in peace. Islam and Sharia law are not our path. Our ancestors rejected it, and we reject it today, tomorrow, and forever.”

Abaribe cautioned that forcing alien ideologies on the South-East is not just offensive — it is dangerous. “Trying to force Sharia on us is like asking for another civil war. Nigeria should think very carefully before pushing people beyond their limits,” he added.

He concluded with a direct message to extremist elements:

“Let it be clear: the Igbo nation will never bow to any form of religious imposition. We stand for freedom, justice, and peaceful coexistence — but we will resist anything that threatens our identity.”

  • Obasanjo removed History from our school.
A Yoruba man called obasanjo removed History from our school because history didn't favor them
THE Yoruba COUP THAT LED TO THE EXTERMINATION OF TAFAWA BALEWA

Since Nigeria became independent in 1960, there have been five military coups. Between 1966 and 1999 carried out by different officers in the Nigerian Army, Non of this coups were given an ethnic coloration except that of 1966 tagged IGBO coup but in reality, that coup was a Yoruba coup but their manipulated the whole story to be against Igbo tribe considering their intention which was meant to release Awolowo (a Yoruba man) from prison and install him as the Prime Minister. taking advantage of their numbers the Yorubas amongst them suggested they Ki|| Tafawa Balewa so Awolowo can emerge. this was a well planned coup to save their tribesman, so it was a Yoruba coup if we're to tag it based on ethnicity.
So, let's take a look at the list of the coup plotters and their tribes:-

    1. Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu(Igbo)
    2. Major Adewale Ademoyega (Yoruba) author of "Why we struck"
    3. Capt. G. Adeleke(Yoruba)
    4. Maj. Ifeajuna(Igbo)
    5. Lt. Fola Oyewole(Yoruba) author of "The reluctant rebel"
    6. Lt. R. Egbiko(Esan)
    7. Lt. Tijani Katsina(Hausa/Fulani)
    8. Lt. O. Olafemiyan(Yoruba)
    9. Capt. Gibson Jalo(Bali)
    10. Capt. Swanton(Middle Belt)
    11. Lt. Hope Harris Eghagha (Urhobo)
    12. Lt. Dag Warribor(Ijaw)
    13. 2nd Lt. Saleh Dambo(Hausa)
    14. 2nd Lt. John Atom Kpera (Tiv).

There you have it. But I’m sure that apart from Nzeogwu and Ifeajuna, you probably never heard of the names of the other guys and the question is why? you probably never heard that the number of northerners who plotted the coup to exterminate their brother (Tafawa Balewa) was more than the Igbos right? That's because of the power of media. Yorubas was in charge of all newspapers in Nigeria then so they manipulated it. But today northerners are waking up to see their real enemy.

out of 14 coup plotters 4 are Yorubas and only 2 are Igbos yet it was tagged an Igbo coup? this is because some elements deliberately chose to tell a one sided story to further their ill agenda against a particular tribe and people; and after over 50 years the war ended, this same people are still hellbent on selling this same old and erroneous and fallacious narrative for the same primordial agenda.
But today we say no we must tell our children all Igbo blood the real story and history. Follow Justice ozobi if you wish to learn more.
this evil narrative instigated the civil war and the counter coup that led to the extermination of Gen Johnson Aguiyi Irosi an Igbo military head of state who never participated in the coup, same narrative further raised the uproar and animosity that led to the massacre of thousands of Igbos living in the North before the real genocide of Igbos even began. And you are telling me Yorubas are not wicked??

  • BREAKING: From January 1, 2026, Nigerians and non-residents will not be able to open or operate a bank account without a Tax Identification number (Tax ID)
From January 1, 2026, Nigerians will face a new reality: no bank account, no business operation, and no access to financial services without a Taxpayer Identification Number. This reform is anchored in the Nigeria Tax Administration Act, 2025, signed into law by President Bola Tinubu in August. It is already being hailed as the most significant financial reform in decades.

The law makes tax compliance a precondition for participating in the financial system. While some citizens may initially view this as burdensome, the truth is that this policy represents a necessary, bold step toward bullding a sustainable national economy. For the first time, Nigeria is moving away from its dependency on oil revenues toward a citizen-driven taxation culture that is the backbone of prosperous nations.

For decades, Nigeria has had one of the weakest tax compliance records in the world. Out of a population of more than 200 million, only about 10 million are registered taxpayers, while more than 60 million Nigerians operate bank accounts. This mismatch has crippled government revenue and left the nation overly dependent on oil earnings, which are volatile and shrinking in relevance in a climate-conscious global economy.

The numbers speak for themselves. Nigeria’s tax-to-GDP ratio is a mere 10 per cent. Ghana stands at 13 per cent, Kenya at 16 per cent, South Africa at 27 per cent, and the global average is 34 per cent.

In practical terms, this means that while Nigeria nas the largest economy in Atrica, it collects tar less in taxes compared to its peers, leaving public finances in a constant state of crisis. This explains why Nigeria’s budget deficits have widened, borrowing has increased, and infrastructure remains underfunded.

By mandating tax IDs for all financial transactions, the Federal Government hopes to close this dangerous gap, expand the tax net, and secure revenue to fund critical services such as healthcare, education, and infrastructure.

  • BREAKING NEWS

Rudeboy of Psquare shares the story behind his hit songs Reason with me, Audio Money and Double Double on TraceAfrica TV.

“Reason With Me is actually my real-life story,” Rudeboy began as he shared the inspiration behind some of his biggest solo hits.

“When I was in the University of Abuja, I was in a relationship for about three and a half years. Things were tough for me at that time. I didn’t have money, no comfort, nothing. And one day, she told me she couldn’t continue again. It really hurt, especially when she started seeing someone who had a car in school.

But I always believed in myself. I kept saying to myself: If I no get today, I go get tomorrow. And that’s exactly the message in Reason With Me. Now life has changed. And that’s the reality I was talking about.”

Moving on, he spoke about Audio Money:

"Audio Money is about people claiming to have what we cannot see. The f@ke lifestyle, the bragging online, the show-off. Meanwhile, your landlord is still asking for rent,” he said. “So the song was just to address that reality. That’s why we used that Ghanaian guy in the video because people already saw that character in him.”

Then he talked about Double Double, a deeply personal part of his journey:

“When I got married, we lost our first pregnancy. Then it happened again… and again. It was a painful period. Many nights were full of tears and prayers. I kept asking God just to bless us once. And then God surprised us with twins — a boy and a girl. That joy was something else. That’s where Double Double came from. It was my thanksgiving. I even called Phyno and Olamide immediately because I wanted the energy of celebration on the song.”

    He ended simply:

“Every song is not just music. Sometimes, it’s life.”

  • It's a fact. It's reality. Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first player to reach 950 goals!! in the entire history of professional football. El Bicho (The Beast/The Bug) is just 50 goals away from the mark he is chasing. Only 50 goals away from the greatest scoring feat of all time. CR950 is here. And now he's going for 1000.

  • MADAGASCAR BREAKS FREE FROM FRANCE

The new president of Madagascar, Colonel Michaël Randrianirina, has finally said what many African leaders are too afraid to say — “We must break away from France completely!”

In his first interview since taking power, he said: “We will find partners who will work with us in a win-win way.”

The people of Madagascar are celebrating because for the first time, they feel hope and freedom!

Randrianirina promised to fix the problems that made the people rise — no electricity, no clean water, and total neglect. He said he will find new partners who respect Madagascar and not exploit it like before.

This new movement started after massive protests in September that pushed out the former president Andry Rajoelina. Now, the people have a new leader who says, “This is the beginning of change, the beginning of hope.”

Could this be the moment when Madagascar leads Africa into true independence — not just on paper, but in reality?

Do you think more African leaders should stand up like him and cut off unfair ties with France?

for more powerful African stories that the world doesn’t want you to hear!
Let’s rise together and support leaders who put Africa First!
